Alex Hinchliffe is a threat intelligence analyst for Unit 42 at Palo Alto Networks. Based in EMEA, his main responsibilities include research into security threats, the groups behind them and their motivations. He started his career as an intern at Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus in the United Kingdom. Almost two decades later, his research now focuses on Windows malware and, more recently, on Android threats. While working for McAfee Labs, Alex collaborated in developing the industry's first cloud-based Anti-Malware system, Artemis, a fast response defence against zero-day threats.
