Existing Palo Alto customers are invited to join EITS and Palo Alto Networks for a webinar focusing on the value of Best Practice Assessments (BPA), ensuring your investment is being leveraged to the fullest.

So What is a BPA?
  • A BPA is comprised of more than 200 security checks on a firewall or Panorama configuration, and provides a pass/fail score for each check.
  • BPAs review both Internet Gateway and Data Center policies.
  • Each check is a best practice identified by Palo Alto Networks security experts.
  • If a check returns a failing score, justification is provided for the failing score and how to fix the issue.
  • The results include trending results to show improvement in adhering to best practices over time.

Why Implement Best Practices?
Simply put, a best practice security policy is a policy that leverages the next-generation technologies—App-ID, Content-ID, and User-ID—on the Palo Alto Networks enterprise security platform to:
  • Identify applications regardless of port, protocol, evasive tactic or encryption
  • Identify and control users regardless of IP address, location, or device
  • Protect against known and unknown application-borne threats
  • Provide fine-grained visibility and policy control over application access and functionality
It boils down to this... Would you buy a Lamborghini only to drive 35mph? Or rev the engine, and run it to full potential?
